This is what Innocent said about actor Dileep and AMMA
Malayalam actor Innocent, who is currently the president of Association of Malayalam Movie Actors (AMMA), said that superstar Mohanlal would take charge as the new chief of the association in the next general body meeting. The meeting is set to take place on June 24.
FollowActor and MP Innocent, has also confirmed that the association hasn't decided on whether or not to take Dileep back into the association. The actor was removed from the association following his alleged involvement in the abduction case of an actress last year.
The police had alleged that Dileep had hired goons to abduct and assault the actress and film the heinous crime.
Innocent, who had been the president of the association for seventeen years, said that he stepped down from the position on his own.
According to TOI, the MP from Chalakudy constituency said that he wouldn't be contesting in next election. Innocent said, "The position is good for those who find pleasure in power, and he is not like that."
