Gautami returns to Malayalam cinema with a horror film, check teaser inside
- This will be Gautami Tadimalla’s return to Mollywood after a long time
- Previously Viswasapoorvam Mansoor was supposed to be her comeback film
- This new film belongs to the horror genre
FollowBack in January we had news of Gautami returning to the Malayalam film industry with Viswasapoorvam Mansoor but in February there was a report Gautami has opted out of the movie owing to personal commitments.
Gautami’s comeback film goes by the title – E: The Movie. The trailer of the film was released on social media. In the trailer the viewers are shown a house and snatches of body parts of the cast, no full picture is present. Even while our eyes strain to get a glimpse of Gautami, she evades us only to show up in the end screaming loudly as a mysterious hand grasps her around her neck.
As per reports in the Indian Express, Gautami in a Facebook Live had disclosed more about her role. She said: “It is a thriller. It has a horror element to it. It’s a supernatural thriller as they call it. But there is so much more to the film. It is about human relationships: mother’s love for the child, friendship, beginning of a relationship and an end of a relationship. There is a lot of laughter, songs and music and we have a wonderful cast.”

It is an Amin Surani and Sangeeth Sivan production and is directed by Kukku Surendran. The film is based on writer Rohan Bajaj’s The Unknown. And the film has music by Rahul Raj. The film is slated for release on August 11.
Gautami was last seen in the Malayalam version of the Telugu movie – Manamantha. The film also starred Mohanlal.
