Rana Daggubatti talks about the drug allegations against him

A recent Tollywood drug controversy targeted celebs in the industry. Rumours suggested that a number of A-listers take drugs and among them, Baahubali star Rana Daggubati’s was also mentioned.

However, his father Suresh Daggupati, who is also a Telugu film producer and distributor, has denied that his sons have links with drug-takers. He even said they don’t take drugs for fun.

According to Greatandhra.com, Rana’s name does not figure in the list of celebs who received notices from the Excise department only because Suresh Babu used his influence in the government to make sure his son's name is off the list.

However, Rana got serious while talking about the recent Tollywood drug story or the 'Udta Tollywood' controversy.

In an interview with a national newspaper, Rana said, "Just because I enjoy parties and also into Bollywood circles, people presume that I take drugs."

He added, "I run 20 km daily and work for hours to maintain my physique. If I take drugs, would it be possible to do all this."

This is not the first time Rana is in the middle of rumours and gossip. In the past, the Baahubali actor was linked to many heroines.

Some time back, he finally decided to answer and maintained that while some rumours were true, some had no base whatsoever. Even in the past, he complained about being caught in rumours that were misleading and baseless.
