MTV Video Music Awards 2022: BTS, Doja Cat and more dominate; here's the full list

On July 26, the nominees for the much anticipated MTV Video Music Awards 2022 were revealed, and fans applauded and hoped their favourite performers would take home the trophy.

The Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, will host the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, August 28. The candidates for 2022 have already been revealed. Jack Harlow, Lil Nas X, and Kendrick Lamar are tied for the most nominations with seven nods. Billie Eilish, Drake, Dua Lipa, Taylor Swift, the Weeknd, and Ed Sheeran each have five, Doja Cat and Harry Styles are next with six, and the rest have five apiece.

The MTV VMAs have nominated Madonna 69 times. Madonna's 14th studio album, "Madame X," received a nomination in the best long-form video category. On Sunday, August 28, the 2022 VMAs will be broadcast live from New Jersey's Prudential Center. Doja Cat hosted the VMAs in 2018; however, a host for 2022 has not yet been chosen.
