The movie is creating a storm in Kerala and other South Indian states at the moment. It was reported that Oppam has beaten Premam's first-week box-office collections. 

 

According to a daily newspaper report, Kamal will play the lead in the remake of Oppam. In the movie, Mohanlal plays a role of a blind man, who falls into a trap for a crime he never committed. Oppam, directed by Priyadarshan, hit screens worldwide on September 8. 

 

Actor Samuthirakani, who played the antagonist in the movie, spread the news through his tweet that read, "Very happy & proud to be part of Oppam, super happy with the success!! Heard Ulaganayagan going to remake in."

 

 

Kamal, who is currently healing from a fracture will resume the shoot of his upcoming film Sabash Naidu from November.

 

Mohanlal's hot film Drishyam was also remade in various languages Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Hindi. However, we all await an official confirmation.
