Singer Ariana Grande's pop concert at the Manchester Arena in England took a tragic turn when an explosion ripped through the stadium.

 

 

According to latest reports, the blast has claimed at least 20 lives and left 60 others injured. The incident that is being treated as an act of terrorism took place on Monday night as Grande was ending the concert, part of her Dangerous Woman Tour. A witness told the BBC that as many as 30 people could be seen lying on the ground at the Manchester Arena concert venue, Europe’s largest indoor arena with a capacity for 21,000 people.

 

 

According to eyewitnesses, a loud bang was heard from inside the venue. Video footages that followed showed bloodied images of victims running to safety. Some of them being helped by emergency services. A witness said, "It was one bang and essentially everyone from the other side of the arena where the bang was heard from suddenly came running towards us." Children and teenagers were feared among the dead because of the very young demographic of the pop star's fans, with desperate parents and relatives waiting for the news of loved ones after the blast struck the Manchester Arena last night.

 

 

A heartbroken Ariana apologised for the incident by tweeting, "Broken. From the bottom of my heart, I am so so sorry. I don't have words."
