Director Siddique is back with the Tamil remake of his Malayalam movie, Bhaskar the Rascal (2015), which had megastar Mammootty and Nayanthara in lead roles. The movie completed 100 days run at theatres.

The Tamil version has been titled as Baskar Oru Rascal. Tamil actor Arvind Swami and Malayalam actress Amala Paul will be playing the lead roles.



Actress Meena’s daughter, Nainika, who won the audience’s hearts as Tamil actor Vijay’s naughty kid in Theri, will be seen as Amala’s daughter in the movie.


Baskar Oru Rascal has started rolling from 3rd April with a formal pooja at Cochin, Kerala. Siddique, who directed the original, will direct the remake too. Initially, reports were saying Rajinikanth was signed on for the film, but it was just a rumour.

According to the reports, Siddique has also roped in Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt to play the lead role in the Hindi version of Bhaskar The Rascal.
