Survey predicts Congress-DMK rout in Puducherry, sweep for AIADMK-BJP

The Bengaluru-based agency's survey has predicted that NR Congress led by former chief minister N Rangaswamy could secure 25 per cent of the vote share in the Union Territory followed by the BJP (24%), Congress (20%) and the AIADMK (21%).
Stalin's DMK did not seem to find favour among the households that were surveyed by the Renaissance Foundation.
For now, the NR Congress is contesting alone. He will be taking on the united might of AIADMK-BJP and DMK-Congress alliances.
If NR Congress was to join hands with the AIADMK-BJP alliance at a later stage, their alliance's projected seat tally goes up even further.

That result could signal a wipeout of either the Congress of the DMK in the Union Territory, the survey points out.
In the last election in 2016, the NR Congress, BJP and AIADMK had contested on their own. The NR Congress won eight seats and the AIADMK four while the BJP drew a blank.
