Karnataka Lok Sabha election, Phase 2: Here is latest voter turnout in 14 constituencies
Polling is underway on Tuesday (April 23) in the remaining 14 constituencies in Karnataka including key seats Kalaburagi and Shivamogga. Here is the latest voter turnout in these constituencies
Bengaluru: Polling is underway in the remaining 14 Lok Sabha constituencies in Karnataka. The constituencies that are polling on Tuesday (April 23) are, Chikkodi, Belgavi, Bagalkot, Vijayapura, Kalaburagi, Raichur, Bidar, Koppal, Bellary, Haveri, Dharwad, Uttara Kannada, Davanagere and Shivamogga.
Kalaburagi and Shivamogga are considered as the key constituencies in this election. In Kalaburagi, Umesh Jadhav of the BJP is facing the Congress-JD(S) alliance candidate Mallikarjun Kharge, who is also the sitting MP.
In Shivamogga, former chief minister BS Yeddyurappa's son BY Raghavendra, who is also the sitting MP, is contesting against the alliance candidate Madhu Bangarappa (JDS).
The other 14 constituencies in Karnataka went to polls on April 18. Overall Karnataka recorded 68.81% voter turnout last week.
Important candidates in the fray in the first phase of election were HD Deve Gowda, Sumalatha, Nikhil Kumaraswamy, Sadananda Gowda, Krishna Byre Gowda, Tejasvi Surya, Prajwal Revanna, Shobha Karandlaje and others.

Along with Karnataka, 12 other states and two union territories are also polling today. A total of 117 constituencies will be polling today. This is the third phase of election in India and with this, 302 constituencies out of 543 will complete polling.
