Bengaluru: Counting of postal ballot begins in Karnataka

·         Dakshina Kannada: Nalin Kumar Kateel leading by a large margin against Congress' Mithun Rai

·         Uttara Kannada: Anant Kumar Hegde leading by a margin of over 2 lakh votes

·         Mandya: Sumalatha maintains lead, secures 81,800 votes against Nikhil who has secured 80,728 votes

·         Kalaburagi: Mallikarjun Khage trailing against BJP candidate Umesh Jadhav

·         Deve Gowda trails by 18,360 votes against GS Basavaraj

·         Kolar: 7-time MLA V Muniyappa of Congress tastes defeat as Muniswamy of BJP wins

·         Uttara Kannada: Anant Kumar Hegde leading by a margin of over 2 lakh votes

·         Mandya: Sumalatha maintains lead, secures 81,800 votes against Nikhil who has secured 80,728 votes

·         Kalaburagi: Mallikatjun Khage trailing with a margin of over 25,000 votes against BJP candidate Umesh Jadhav

•    Out of 28 constituencies, BJP is leading in 23 seats, followed by Congress in three, JD(S) in 2 seats  
•    BJP supported independent candidate Sumalatha is leading in Mandya and JD(S) candidate  Nikhil is trailing by 130 votes
•    Sitting MP Mallikarjun Kharge of Congress is trailing in Kalaburagi 
•    In Shivamogga, BJP's BY Raghavendra is leading against JD(S) candidate Madhu Bangarappa
•    In Dakshina Kannada, BJP candidate Nalin Kumar Kateel is leading 

•    In Uttara Kaannada, Anant Kumar Hegde is leading by 50,000 margin

•    In Mysuru, Congress candidate Vijayshankar is leading against BJP's Pratap Simha

•    In Hassan, JD(S) candidate Prajwal Revanna leading by over 33,000 votes against BJP's A Manju

•    In Tumakuru, Deve Gowda is leading again against BJP's GS  Basavaraj by just 65 votes

•    In Bengaluru South, Tejasvi Surya is leading against Congress' BK Hariprasad with 51,650 votes

•    In Vijayaur, BJP candidate is leading by nearly 1 lakh votes
•    In Koppal, BJP candidate Karadi Sanganna is leading
•    In Kolar too BJP candidate is leading against 6-time MLA Congress' V Muniyappa. Muniyappa training by 40,000 votes

•    In Kalaburagi, Umesh Jadhav is leading by 21,000 votes against Mallikarjun Kharge

•    Chincholi: BJJP's Avinash Jadhav is leading
•    Kundagol: Congress' Kusuma Shivalli is leading 

 

28 Lok Sabha constituencies of Karnataka went to polls on April 14 and April 23. By-polls were conducted for Chincholi and Kundagol Assembly segments on May 19.

With big names like Deve Gowda, Nikhil Kumaraswamy, Prajwal Revanna, Sadananda Gowda, PC Mohan, Krishna Byre Gowda, BY Raghavendra, Madhu Bangarappa in the fray, the results will play an important role in deciding the future of the coalition government in Karnataka.

Seven key constituencies in Karnataka are: Bengaluru Central, Bengaluru South, Tumakuru, Shivamogga, Kalabburagi Bengaluru North and Hassan.
