Sandalwood drug case: Arrested actresses moved to common cell from jail's quarantine room
Actresses Sanjjanaa Galrani and Ragini Dwivedi whose bail plea was rejected by the NDPS court on Monday (September 28), are now said to be moved into a common jail cell from the quarantine room. The actresses are said to be contemplating approaching the Karnataka high court now.
Bengaluru: Actresses Ragini Dwivedi and Sanjjanaa Galrani who have been arrested and sent to jail by CCB in a drug case were moved to a common jail cell from the quarantine cell.
The actresses who have been trying to get bail from the last 5 attempts, were in tears as their bail was rejected yet again and the court-ordered them jail time.
Sandalwood beauties accused in the drug case were already in stress but the officials had made the case watertight with circumstantial evidence and probe.
Ragini has already spent 14 days in jail and Sanjjanaa counted 12 days. Now their agony will continue for some more days.
Ragini was the first Sandalwood actress to be arrested in relation to drug connection. First, her friend was arrested and later her house was raided, and then she was taken to the CCB office for investigation and later arrested. In a similar fashion, first Sanjjanaa's aide was arrested and later her Indiranagar's posh home was raided and she was arrested.
Both denied their role in the drug case but the officials placed enough evidence and every time their bail plea came for objection, the public prosecutor representing the CCB placed the argument and ensured the bail was adjourned and rejected.
Now the actresses are said to be contemplating knocking on the high court's door to get relief. Until then they will have to digest jail food and continue to undergo mosquito menace.
