Sandalwood drug case: Accused actresses Ragini, Sanjjanaa's bail plea to come in NDPS court-ycb

Bengaluru: As the bail pleas of accused actress Ragini Dwivedi and Sanjjanaa Galrani is coming before NDPS court on Monday (September 21), the actresses are keeping their fingers crossed so that the ruling comes in their favour and they would be set 'free'.

The lawyers representing them have argued that the actresses have no role in the drugs scandal and are innocent and hence should be granted bail.

The court has asked the CCB and their special prosecutor to place their argument and invited them for 'objections'.

The court can either grant bail and may subject them to further CCB custody and may adjourn the case hearing.

Both the actresses who were rivals on the work front have been placed under the same cell in connection with drug abuse and circulation. It is said that while Sanjjanaa was in panic and stress, and demanded chicken and cigarettes from the police, Ragini was busy reading books.

Ragini Dwivedi and Sanjjanaa Galrani were the first Kannada film actresses to be arrested in connection with the drug case.
