Ramanagara: Ramanagara Police conducted raid on a rave party and detained 10 people under the supervision of SP Anoop Shetty. The incident was reported from Vibuthikere in Ramanagara district, Karnataka.

The party was conducted on a 32-acre mango farm land belonging to a person identified as Venkatesh who hails from Bengaluru. "

It was reported that the party was being held without any prior permission and an app was created to spread information about the party. Apparently, the party was organised by a girl named Madhumita and she was supported by others named Pouranik, Purohit, Nabira and Richu. The group is said to have planned the party one month in advance. Therefore, with a tipoff, the cops raided the place in the wee hours of Sunday. The cops suspect that the rave party must have had drugs being sold or distributed.

The police couldn’t complete the inspection of the spot in the wee hours and hence reached the place early in the morning to collect more evidence.

Cops are interrogating the detained and more information about the party will be revealed. Ramanagara is one of the favourite getaways of Bengalureans as it is on the outskirts of the city. It was reportedly a weekend party where the raid took place. The Bengaluru commissioner Bhaskar Rao too had said that distribution of drugs in and around Bengaluru has risen in the recent past.
