Man rapes woman in the pretext of giving ride in Karnataka’s Chikkamagaluru
A young man named Abhi was arrested for raping a woman in the pretext of giving her a ride in Manase village, Chikkamagaluru, Karnataka
FollowChikkamagaluru: In a shocking incident that came to light, a young man was accused of raping a woman in the pretext of giving a ride in Chikkamagaluru, Karnataka.
The incident was reported from Manase village in Sringeri taluk of Chikkamagaluru district. The accused has been identified as Abhi and is accused of raping the woman at a secluded place on the way to Sringeri from Manase.
Accused Abhi is a native of Krike village in Chikkamagaluru. A case has been registered at Sringeri police station. Acting on the complaint, the cops arrested Abhi and are interrogating him.
Though stringent action has been taken against rape accused and convicts, the crime against women is still on the rise. The recent encounter of Hyderabad rape accused sent chills down the spine. However, it didn’t stop this youth from committing the crime.
BJP’s former MLA Kuldeep Sengar’s life sentence too didn’t set an example for the youth who raped the woman in Chikkamagaluru.
