Bihar DGP hails SC order of handing over Sushant Singh death case to CBI
Hailing the SC verdict Bihar DGP Gupteshwar Pandey termed this order as "historic" and says he is very happy with the decision. He also took a jibe at Mumbai Police and said it was acting wrongly.
FollowWhile the mood among Maharashtra Police may not be high as the SC verdict favoured what Bihar Police sought, DGP Guptheswar Pandey termed it as "Victory for justice against injustice."
The DG opined that he is happy over the development as the Bihar Police was going by the constitution and in a legal manner.
He used the opportunity to take a jibe at Mumbai Police and said Mumbai Police was acting wrongly from the beginning.
"SC has justified the work done by Bihar Police and given it a stamp of approval." said the DG as per a report.
The DG further stated that the faith among people on the judiciary will increase and families will get justice. The Bihar Police chief appealed to the people to be at peace and wait for the probe result from the CBI.
On July 25, deceased Sushant's father filed a complaint with Bihar Police accusing the late actor's girlfriend Rhea and her family of abetting suicide and embezzling his earnings.
