The nation is currently going through the severe second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, with cases and deaths on record rise every day. Furthermore, the shortage of medical amenities, along with oxygen, has made the situation even worse. However, thanks to our frontline workers’ undying effort, things continue to be in spare control.
Consequently, it makes utmost sense to salute these heroes who continue to risk their lives to save their citizens. As a result, Virushka took to their social media to thank these COVID warriors.
Kohli shared a video thanking the frontline workers for their priceless efforts in saving precious Indian lives. “I have nothing but gratitude for all the healthcare and frontline workers; they put their lives at risk to save ours. For this, we are in awe of their spirit and dedication. I also want to thank all the people who came forward in such difficult times and helped each other in every possible way. India is grateful to have heroes like you. Jai Hind,” he wrote.
A similar video was also shared by Anushka, as she captioned it, “We’d like to say a big thank you to all our healthcare and frontline workers; their dedication is truly inspiring. You continue to risk your lives for the nation, and for that, we are eternally grateful to you. You are the real heroes, for Virat and I, and for the nation. Thank you once again.”
Earlier, Virushka had begun a fun-raising campaign, in association with Ketto, for the COVID situation that would aid the nation with medical supplies and enough oxygen to treat the patients. the couple had contributed ₹2 crore as their share and aimed at generating ₹7 crore. Within just 24 hours of the campaign launch, it grossed ₹3.6 crore.
