Valentine’s Day 2020: RCB shower fans with love; post message in Kannada, unveil new logo for IPL 2020
On Valentine's Day, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) expressed their love towards the fans. Also, the Virat Kohli-led IPL team unveiled their new logo for the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020)
Bengaluru: On the occasion of Valentine’s Day today (February 14), Indian Premier League (IPL) team Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) unveiled their new look for the 13th edition of the cash-rich Twenty20 tournament.
The Virat Kohli-led franchise had removed their display picture (DP) and cover image on Twitter and fans had started questioning what they were up to. Even Kohli, AB de Villiers and Yuzvendra Chahal had asked what was happening.

Now, the suspense has ended. Also, RCB showered love on their fans by tweeting in Kannada. It translates to, “You are in our name, You are in our breath, You are an inspiration for us, You are there in our defeats, You are there in our victories, You are always by our side, You are our yesterdays, You will be our future, Everything is your love.”
On Friday morning they unveiled their new logo with the caption, “THIS IS IT. The moment you've been waiting for. New Decade, New RCB, New Logo! #PlayBold.”
Fans are hoping that RCB will end their IPL title drought. In the previous 12 editions they never won the trophy. With new coach Simon Katich at the helm, the Bengaluru team’s supporters are positive for IPL 2020 season.

In December 2019, RCB bought eight players with South African all-rounder Chris Morris being the most expensive buy at Rs 10 crore.

“I am very happy with the players that we have selected and really looking forward to the new season. We’ve had a lot of discussions on the structure and balance of the team and this looks like a good start for us. I believe it all comes down to every individual to give out their best performance during the league and to enjoy the best form of cricket by playing bold,” Kohli had said after the auction.
IPL 2020 is set to begin on March 29. Full schedule of the tournament is yet to be released by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
