CSK plays its opening game on September 19 against defending champion Mumbai Indians at the Dubai Sports Complex. The side is currently placed second in the table, just three wins away from playoffs qualification. It would be extra careful following its forgettable season last year in UAE, as it had finished seventh in the table and failed to make it to the playoffs for the first time ever.
