Speaking on his batting, Venkatesh has credited legendary former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly for inspiring him. "Honestly, KKR was the first franchise I wanted to get in because Sourav Ganguly was the captain initially, so I wanted to get into KKR first," he said in a video on IPL's website.
