The successful start of 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has seen a smooth flow of the matches. Next up on the schedule is Match 22 between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) at the Dubai International Stadium.

Both the teams started off well at the beginning of the tournament, but suddenly dropped off late.

Team Composition

Each of the teams, having played five matches of the season, are now done with the initial trials of playing XI. Both teams are now playing with their most balanced sides. While SRH have a bowling heavy team, KXIP are relatively balanced in all departments.

Current Form

SRH are sixth on the points table, while KXIP are eighth in the position. Both the teams will see a tough scuffle in their ambition to raise their position in the table.

Head to head

The teams have clashed a total of 14 times. SRH have won ten times, while KXIP have won just four times.

Weather and Pitch Report

The temperature will still be slightly warmer, at around 37 degrees. As far as the pitch is concerned, batting first offers some more advantages than chasing, as has been the tradition this season. The pitch slows down till the second innings and hardly assists the bowlers. Scores between 170-180 will be competent enough.

Predicted 11

SRH - David Warner (c), Jonny Bairstow (wk), Manish Pandey, Kane Williamson, Abdul Samad, Abhishek Sharma, Priyam Garg, Rashid Khan, Sandeep Sharma, T Natarajan, Khaleel Ahmed.

KXIP - KL Rahul (c & wk), Chris Gayle, Mayank Agarwal, Nicholas Pooran, Mandeep Singh, Sarfaraz Khan, Krishnappa Gowtham, Mujeeb ur Rahman, Sheldon Cottrell, Mohammed Shami, Ravi Bishnoi.

Dream 11 players

Batsmen: David Warner (vc), Mayank Agarwal, Nicholas Pooran, Manish Pandey- Warner and Agrawal can get off to a good start. Pooran can hammer the big hits while Manish Pandey can consolidate in the middle. Warner’s lethal approach makes him the captain of the XI.

Wicketkeeper: Nicholas Pooran, KL Rahul (c)- Both Rahul and Pooran can take the pressure off from the tough situations, while Rahul’s decent form makes him the vice-captain.

All-rounders: A Samad- He can deliver reasonably well both with the bat and the ball.

Bowlers: Khaleel Ahmed, Mohammed Shami, Rashid Khan, Sandeep Sharma- Rashid Khan can restrict the opposition to low scores with his economical bowling. The pace battery comprising Ahmed, Shami, and  Sharma can scalp regular wickets.

Players to watch out for

Jonny Bairstow: The overseas player is yet to show his stellar performance with the willow. It has been quite a dry season for him.

Kane Williamson: The Kiwi skipper missed some initial matches for the franchise. However, he is back with good form, as fans are waiting to see him perform.
