IPL 2020: Anushka Sharma enjoyed the extra-bonanza match
The extra-thriller match on Monday Night was dragged till the last ball of the Super Over, was won by RCB. Anushka Sharma, via her Instagram handle, congratulated RCB for their second win of this season.
FollowAn absolute thriller of a game saw an outpouring of runs, where both Mumbai and Bangalore managed to hit 200-plus runs on the board. Little did the teams intend to finish the match on an easy note, that they spiced it up with the Super Over thrill, where RCB took a lead.
With the toss in MI’s favor, the decision to choose bowling nearly backfired. Mumbai Indians bowlers were taken in for a ride by the RCB batsmen, who looked dominating from the very start. Their stranded good partnerships along with some constant smashing drew them towards 201 at the end of their innings.
With high hopes to bounce back, MI still didn’t get the desired start. Very soon, their lead batsmen departed. With little hope left, Ishan Kishan walked on the crease, who partnered well with Kieron Pollard and together, made a 119-run partnership. With little disappointments for Ishan Kishan, who fell a run short for his century, Super Over was put on the show.
An easily feasible target was put on by MI, which RCB chased quite easily. The match amused the viewers, who bombarded social media by giving vent to their feelings for this roller-coaster match.
Anushka Sharma, wife of RCB skipper Virat Kohli, even shared her feelings on her Instagram account. She posted RCB’s winning pictures in her story and captioned ‘Too exciting a game for a pregnant lady.’
The Indian actress is often roped in and blamed whenever Kohli fails to put up an adequate performance. Recently, she heated up in a war of words with Sunil Gavaskar, who had inadvertently made a comment on Kohli and Anushka, which was perceived in a wrong manner, during one of his match commentaries.
