The build-up to the ICC World T20, slated to be held from next month in the United Arab Emirates and Oman, is underway. Meanwhile, Pakistan has announced its 15-member squad for the Twenty20 mega event.

While the squad happens to be a regular Pakistani T20I side, Asif Ali and Khushdil Shah have been included in the side, while the same squad would also feature in the upcoming home series against New Zealand and England. Sharjeel Khan and all-rounder Faheem Ashraf were a couple of surprise omissions.

The Pakistan Cricket Board announced the squad on Monday via a press conference. It has also included three reserve players in the form of Usman Qadar, Shanawaz Dhani and Fakhar Zaman.
