Team India is on a roll following its emphatic win 3-1 win in the four-Test series against England to retain the Anthony de Mello Trophy. Meanwhile, the focus now shifts to the limited-overs, as from Friday, a five-match Twenty20 International is to be played.

While India would have a talented squad with some different faces than that of the Tests, it would also witness prolific seamer Bhuvneshwar Kumar's return. The Uttar Pradesh lad was out for a long time, owing to a thigh muscle injury since the Indian Premier League 2020.

Although his return is great news for Team India, former Indian batsman and commentator VVS Laxman feels that Bhuvi is vital for India's plans in the upcoming ICC World T20 in India later this year. Laxman also thinks that his workload management would be crucial.

"I still feel great and happy that Bhuvneshwar has regained fitness because he's such an important bowler, especially in white-ball cricket for India. Apart from Jasprit Bumrah, if there's anyone in that Indian bowling line-up who has got the experience of bowling not only with the new ball but also at the death. He is such an important member. We have to look after Bhuvneshwar Kumar, the fast bowler, because he will be playing a very important role come November when the World Cup will happen," Laxman told Star Sports.

"For him to be 100 per cent fit, I think a lot of priority and prominence has to be given to manage the workload and the injury of Bhuvneshwar Kumar. I hope that he doesn't play all the five matches. I think he can be rested in between," he added.

Bhuvi has so far featured in 43 T20Is for India, claiming 41 wickets at an economy of 7.04. Meanwhile, he has played just a couple against England and claimed only a wicket, as he looks to make his comeback to the side with a bang.
