Former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir has tested negative for Covid-19 after undergoing a test on Friday. He isolated himself following a Covid positive case at his residence. Gambhir has quit cricket completely, as he has joined politics full-time, with Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP).

Gautam Gambhir has tested negative for Covid-19 after he self-isolated himself on finding a corona positive case in his home. On Friday morning. The former had tweeted, “Due to a case at home, I have been in isolation awaiting my COVID test result. Urge everyone to follow all guidelines & not take this lightly. Stay safe!”
 
However, on Sunday morning, he shared the good news with his fans as he tested negative for Covid-19. He took to his Twitter account and shared, "Glad to share that my COVID test result is negative. Thank you for all the wishes. I again urge everyone to strictly follow guidelines. Stay safe."

This former Indian player retired from all cricketing formats in 2018 and took to politics in 2019.
