After Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman concluded her Union Budget 2021-22 presentation, in a brief address to the nation, Prime Minister Modi said, "Union Budget 2021-22 has been presented amid unprecedented circumstances."

“Today’s Budget has the vision of ‘Aatmanirbharta’. Budget 2021 will boost India’s self-confidence and spur growth giving a boost to India's self-reliance. Ease of living has been emphasised upon in this Budget,” said PM Modi.

“Principles included in this Budget: Expansion of opportunities for growth; new opportunities for the youth; new meaning to human resource; new sectors to be developed for infrastructure development; progress towards modernisation; and new reforms.”

“The Budget focuses on increasing farmers' income, several measures have been taken in this direction. Farmers will be able to get loans easily. Provisions have been made to strengthen APMC markets with the help of Agriculture Infrastructure Fund.”

PM Narendra Modi added, “Many thought we will put the tax burden on the common man. However, we focused on a transparent Budget.”

“I am happy that south states, north-east states and UTs of Ladakh and J&K have been given growth impetus; while there is an effort boost coastal areas.”

“This budget will bring several positive changes for individuals, investors, industry and infrastructure sector. We have taken the approach of widening new opportunities for growth, new openings for our youth, a new high to human resources, develop new regions for infrastructure, walking towards technology and bring new reforms in this Budget,” said the PM.
