According to the Reserve Bank of India holiday calendar, eight out of these 14 holidays are on account of various festivals and the bank closing day (April 1), while the rest are regular holidays.

Banks in India will remain shut for 14 days in April.

According to the Reserve Bank of India holiday calendar, eight out of these 14 holidays are on account of various festivals and the bank closing day (April 1), while the rest are regular holidays.

Some of these holidays are state-centric, while others are applicable in more than one state.

Customers planning to carry out banking activity this month are advised to plan their visit accordingly.

April 1: Yearly account closure

April 2: Good Friday

April 4: Sunday

April 5: Babu Jagjivan Ram's Birthday. (Holiday in Andhra Pradesh / Telangana)

April 10: Second Saturday

April 11: Sunday

April 13: Ugadi/ Telugu New Year/ Bohag Bihu/ Gudi Padwa/ Vaisakh

April 14: Dr Ambedkar Jayanti/ Emperor Ashoka's birth anniversary/ Tamil New Year/ Vishu / Bohag Bihu / Cheiraoba

April 15: Himachal Day / Bengali New Year's Day / Bohag Bihu / Sarhul

April 16: Bohag Bihu (Holiday in Assam)

April 18: Sunday

April 21: Shree Ram Navami (Chaite Dashain) / Garia Puja

April 24: Fourth Saturday

April 25: Sunday
