Bengaluru: With just days left for Assam polls, Union home minister Amit Shah and defence minister Rajnath Singh are in Assam, addressing rallies.

Lashing out at Congress, Amit Shah said that the party sees its vote bank in infiltrators. He also targeted the party over its alliance with the Muslim league in Kerala. He also noted that the problems related to floods would also be taken care of.

He also reminded the electorate that the BJP had promised to make Assam terrorism-free before the previous election and asserted that Assam had become terrorism-free and there is only peace and development in the state.

Moreover, he lashed out at the Congress, saying that the party only remembers tea garden workers at the time of elections. The govt has decided to increase the wages of tea garden workers and he listed out other measures taken for them.

In this regard, he said, “Do you want infiltrators or development? Rahul is with Ajmal, can they stop infiltrators? Can they keep Assam safe? Give the BJP five years and infiltration will become a thing of the past in Assam".

On the other hand, Rajnath Singh assured that the wheel of development would be continued in coming days in the state under the rule of the party. Addressing an election rally at Biswanath he added that the Sarbanand Sonowal government has achieved success in terms of development which Congress was unable to do in 15 years. He said that the BJP government did series of development works in the state.

Singh also chose to talk about the farm laws that the Parliament has enacted, saying it would ease the lives of the farmers. He noted emphatically that no minister from Assam has any corruption charges against him.
