Village secretary bashed up for sending lewd messages to female colleague

FollowPeapully village panchayat secretary in Kurnool district was beaten up by the villagers for allegedly harassing a female colleague. Peapully village secretary Janardhan had been harassing Kalachatla village secretary for quite some time.
Janardhan had been sending messages to the victim since two months, despite repeated warnings. Frustrated with the harassment, the victim, along with 20 villagers, forced herself into his office on Wednesday, pulled him out of the office and thrashed him with 'chappals'.
The villagers, later, lodged a complaint with the police and even while he was being taken to the Police Station, they didn’t stop beating him.
Peapully SI said that a case has been filed against Janardhan, following complaints by the victim. Janardhan also seemed to have lodged a complaint against everyone who bashed him up.
