Telugu Desam Party (TDP) won the prestigious Nandyal by-election defeating YCP (Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party) with a margin of more than 27,000 votes. TDP, high on its victory, decided to celebrate it in Nandyal through a huge meeting and thank the inhabitants of Nandyal for supporting them.

In this regard Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu dictated all the TDP Ministers, MLAs and leaders to tour Nandyal on Friday. He asked the leaders to conduct meeting and give clarity on the election promises.

Chandrababu asked the leaders to prepare a list of all the election promises and submit it to him. He asked the ministers to discuss clearly about the promises with the people and to collect all the required data.

Chandrababu identifies Nandyal as a model for the 2019 General Elections and intends to publish book on Nandyal experiences. He asked the leaders to publish the book before the workshop to be conducted in September to train up the leaders and workers for the 2019 elections.
