Refused increased security, Vallabhaneni Vamsi surrenders his gunman in protest

Ruling TDP (Telugu Desam Party) Gannavaram MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi, who has been requesting the government to increase his protection detail,  surrendered his gunmen as a mark of protest.

According to reports Vamsi had been requesting the government to increase his security for the past three and half years but the government has turned a deaf year to his request.

Vamsi at present has a 1+1 security while he requested for 2+2. He is further miffed that the government only provided a pistol to his gunman. The MLA is angered that the government has not even provided a carbon weapon.

Vamsi said that he is all the more distressed as he had surrendered three of his licensed weapons in the Police Station for renewal but they weren’t returned back to him.
