Mudragada postpones his padayatra till December 6th

Former minister and Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham decided to give time of two months to Andhra Pradesh government and chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu to take a decision on Kapu reservation.

He set the deadline as December 6th and postponed his ‘Chalo Amaravathi’ padayatra for another two months. His padayatra demanding BC status for the Kapu community has been suspended for nearly a month.

Mudragada had a meeting with his leaders from 13 districts on Wednesday evening at his house in Kirlampudi in East Godavari District before announcing to defer his agitation for another two months.

Speaking to the media, he said that these two months’ time is being given to pass a resolution in the Legislative Assembly. He said that they are not succumbing to CM Chandrababu Naidu’s power but are giving him time to take a decision on Kapu community.

He also warned of dire consequences resulting in intensified agitation after December 6th 2017.
