Former Congress MP Lagadapati Rajagopal met the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu at the State Secretariat in Amaravathi on Tuesday. Though Rajagopal has quit active politics, time and again he conducts political surveys and reminds people of his political links.
Reports say that he is ready to join TDP (Telugu Desam Party) and is willing to contest in the next elections if he is given a Vijayawada ticket in the party. His surveys during the Nandyal by-election forecasted victory for TDP.
In this context he met the CM at the Secretariat. When media questioned him about the reason for his visit, he briefly said that he came since the CM summoned him. He also asked the media not to politicise this meeting.
He also said that he didn’t conduct any surveys after Nandyal by-election. This is the second meeting between Lagadapati and Chandrababu and the details of the meeting are yet to be disclosed.
