Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu met with the district collectors at the A Convention Centre in Vijayawada on Thursday.

Key discussions were made regarding health, medical, welfare, urban development, municipal corporation and other departments. The CM expressed his dissatisfaction with the working status of each department. He warned them of necessary action if they aren’t up to the mark.

In continuation of matters discussed on the second day of the meeting, Chandrababu expressed his anger over the ministers in charge of the respective departments and chastised them.

Chandrababu expressed his restlessness with the implementation of the biometric system. When minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao tried to give an explanation, the CM didn’t give him a chance and told him to take stringent action on officers who are taking bribes.

The CM asked the collectors to leave their ego, and work for the welfare of the people. He asked them to look into the health facilities of the agency people, for the arrangement of welfare buildings in various districts and for the allotment of land for Kapu, BCs and other welfare buildings.

Chandrababu also launched toll-free number 181 for the complaints of women regarding domestic violence and eve-teasing. The toll-free number is facilitated for immediate assistance to the victims.

Chandrababu ordered the respective district representatives to attend the programme organised by the state for communal house-warming of 2 lakh houses all-over the state on October 2.
