Actor turned politician Chiranjeevi couldn’t succeed in his political career though he garnered a huge fan following as a film star. He had launched a party called Prajarajyam and later on merged it into Congress. He was taken as a Rajya Sabha member and later on became a Central Minister. His Rajya Sabha term would be completed in April 2018 and since Congress doesn’t have a hold in Andhra Pradesh, his political career seems to be hanging in the air.
According to recent reports, it is believed that both TDP (Telugu Desam Party) and YCP (Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party) seem to be wooing Chiranjeevi with Rajya Sabha nomination. But Chiranjeevi is busy with his historical epic film Sye Raa, which is the story of freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy from Palegar in Kurnool district who fought with the British during their reign.
This film would be one of the biggest sensations in Chiranjeevi’s career and eagerly awaited by his fan following. His Congress colleagues believe that this film would release before the 2019 elections, create a sensation and would even win him a seat in the elections. But Chiranjeevi is yet to respond to the offer by the two parties as he is busy shooting his film.
Chiranjeevi has no enemies in the political circle as he never criticised anyone personally and that explains CM Chandrababu Naidu and YCP supremo YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s interest in enticing him into their party.
