A woman working in a reputed software company jumped off a running train to escape molestation bid. The victim was on her way to Vijaywada to see a prospective groom. Some hooligans in the compartment misbehaved with her and filmed the incident She jumped off the moving train at Singarayakonda.

A 21-year-old Andhra native jumped out of a moving train in Chennai to escape a molestation bid.

 The software engineer, who works in a reputed company in Chennai, jumped off a moving train at Singarayakonda in Prakasam District. Her condition is said to be critical.

The victim identified as Sheik Nazbulla was travelling to her hometown Vijayawada on Thursday night. Sources told local dailies that the girl was supposed to meet a prospective groom on Friday and then planned to celebrate Bakr id with her family on Saturday.

She along with her friends boarded a train at Chennai and three men started misbehaving with her once the train left Chennai. The police said they touched her inappropriately and were filming the whole incident. When the girls sought the help of the other passengers, none of them came forward and there was no TC or police in the compartment.

Unable to deal with the harassment, the girl jumped off the moving train at Singarayakonda. Her friends immediately pulled the chain and halted the train.

The station master and her friends rushed Nazbulla to RIMS (Regional Institute of Medical Sciences) at Ongole. She suffered serious injuries and is undergoing treatment.

The police nabbed the three men believed to be residents of North India at Vijayawada station and filed a case against them.
