Chandrababu warns people involved in sand mafia in AP

Recently Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu in his Rajahmundry meeting warned people indulging in illegal sand business. But his threat doesn’t seem to have any affect on the mafia.

When TDP (Telugu Desam Party) came into power three years ago Chandrababu decided to convert sand as a source of income. This instigated the minsters, MLAs and TDP leaders to start the sand business. These leaders have become billionaires with illegal sand business by using free resources near sea side, river banks, lake and streams.

One incident  which brought the illegal sand business to light is when TDP MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar attacked Musunuru MRO Vanajakshi when she tried to stop the illegal sand transfer. When the sand mafia became unbearable, people made a hue and cry. Chandrababu then announced free sand but this is just a farce as the rate is still the same with transport and other charges.

Some of the government officials tried to use their power to stop sand mafia but the TDP leaders attacked them which prompted others to leave alone the illegal sand business.
