Chandrababu Naidu to change his Convoy again at Rs 5 crores and 65 lakhs expenditure

Andhra Pradesh government has released Rs 5.65 crores for Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s convoy. A GO (Government Order) has been passed to such affect after Intelligence officials proposed for purchasing of ultra-modern convoy in lieu of tightening CM’s security measures.

This is the third time that CM had changed his convoy. In 2014 after Chandrababu became CM, he was using Tata Safari because of their convenience.

When he shifted his office to Undavalli, the government purchased Toyota Fortuner convoy with Rs 10 crores expenditure with modern facilities. But Chandrababu stopped using them and shifted back to Safari. Toyota vehicles are now in the security of the police forces.

He uses Fortuner on special occasions when he visits Hyderabad or New Delhi. CM has already purchased a special bus for his use with Rs 6 crores expenditure.

Now he is intent on buying another convoy with an expense of Rs 5.65 crores.
