The world-renowned pilgrimage centre of Andhra Pradesh, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), is governed by the Trust Board under its chairman.
The previous Trust Board completed its term four months ago. But AP Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu is yet to nominate the board chairman and seems to be postponing it. In the meantime, many enthusiastic candidates are suggesting their names as the TTD Trust Board chairman.
The main candidates, who are in the race for the Trust Board chairman, are former MLA of Nellore district and Amaravathi Capital Development Advisory Committee member Beeda Mastan Rao, followed by Gali Muddu Krishnama Naidu and Nandamuri Harikrishna, who is the brother-in-law of Chandrababu Naidu.
Recently, the names of CM Ravi Shankar from Madanapally and Putta Sudhakar Yadav have also come to the forefront. Meanwhile, TDP MPs Murali Mohan and Rayapati Sambhasiva Rao have also self-nominated themselves.
With the delay in appointment of TTD Trust Board chairman, many more names might still pop up. However, Chandrababu Naidu seems to be in no hurry to appoint anyone. Will the TTD Trust Board chairman post be also an unfinished project like many others?
