Tamil star hero Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s much awaited film Mersal will be released on Wednesday on the eve of Diwali and though his fans are overjoyed with the release of their star’s film, a huge cut-out of the star is being made fun of in social media.

Vijay is considered one of the best star heroes of Tamil Film Industry after superstar Rajinikanth. With his upcoming release, his fans have put up huge cut-outs across the theatres in Tamil Nadu. A huge 150-feet cut-out of the actor was established at one of the theatres.

Vijay’s fans are overjoyed with this huge cut-out which is a still from the film but it looks a bit tacky with the inordinate size of the sickle-shaped sword carried by Vijay and its placement. Some netizens made fun of the fans of the actor as how they could ignore such a conspicuous mistake, thus leaving the entire effort awkward.

In spite of the trolls, audience in both Tamil and Telugu states are eagerly waiting for the release. The Tamil version would release on October 18 while its Telugu version will be released on October 19 with the title Adirindhi. The Samantha, Kajal, Nitya Menon starrer will clash with Ravi Teja’s Raja the Great.
