Kerala BJP secretary brutally thrashed while offering namaz at mosque in Idukki

Idukki: Kerala's Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secretary AK Nazeer was brutally thrashed on Sunday evening (January 12) while he was offering namaz at a mosque in Idukki district's Thookkupalam region. 

After the attack, the BJP secretary was rushed to a nearby hospital where he is currently undergoing treatment.

It is reportedly said that the incident took place minutes after AK Nazeer entered the Juma Masjid in Thookkupalam. The BJP secretary had come to the mosque after the "Jana Jagrutha" rally that was conducted by the BJP Idukki unit as part of the party's outreach programme to explain the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) to the public.
