Here's why an elephant was brutally thrashed by heartless mahouts, Watch this inhumane behaviour

Two mahouts kept hitting the legs of the 19-year-old female elephant at a rejuvenation camp in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. It was heard trumpeting in pain.

A video of two mahouts mercilessly beating an elephant in a camp at Thekkampatti, Tamil Nadu, has gone viral. The video recorded by a visitor to the elephant's rejuvenation camp shows the men hitting the animal with sticks on its legs, and it is heard trumpeting in pain. The elephant, said to be of the Srivilliputhur temple, was tied to a tree and hit. 

According to primary inquiries, the incident happened because the elephant was allegedly not following the mahout’s commands. The officials said that being enraged by its response, Kumar and Sivaprasad chained the elephant to a tree and attacked it.
