Reacting to contesting from Chamundeshwari and Badami constituencies in the Assembly Elections in Karnataka, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has lashed out at JD(S) supremo and former PM Deve Gowda and former CM HD Kumaraswamy too. Addressing the people after visiting the Banashankari Temple in Badami, Siddaramaiah said that he agreed to contest from Badami on popular demand and after the high command asked him to do so. Giving a befitting reply to the critics, after filing his nomination for the constituency, the CM said PM Modi had earlier contested from Varanasi in UP and Gujarat; HD Deve Gowda and Kumaraswamy too had contested from two constituencies, so were they too scared of losing the elections? he questioned.
