Amid the ongoing fighting in Afghanistan, India issued an advisory asking its nationals to adhere to the steps announced earlier strictly. The Indian Embassy in Afghanistan stated that the precautions and security measures outlined in the previous advisories remain valid. Previous security advisory had asked all Indian nationals and professionals operating from the country to leave for India immediately. However, there are around 1,500 Indians still in Afghanistan.
The embassy advisory stressed that the Indian media should take extra precautions during ground reporting and referred to the murder of Danish Siddiqui.
