India evacuating citizens from Afghanistan; special flight this evening
The Consulate General office has asked Indian citizens wanting to leave for New Delhi to immediately convey their full name, passport number, date of expiry by Whatsapp at the following numbers: 0785891303 and 0785891301.
After the United States and the United Kingdom, now India has started evacuating its nationals from Afghanistan in the wake of the deteriorating situation in the war-torn country.
In a tweet, the Indian Consulate General in Afghanistan's Mazar-e-Sharif said, "A special flight is leaving from Mazar-e-Sharif to New Delhi. Any Indian nationals in and around Mazar-e-Sharif are requested to leave for India in the special flight scheduled to depart late today evening."

After the United States and the NATO troops returned home, the Taliban militia has made significant gains in several provinces of southern and western Afghanistan.
In an effort to ensure the Afghan peace process does not derail, Russia-led 'Extended Troika' will be meeting on August 11 in Qatar. In the talks, the US, Pakistan and China will also be participating.
India, surprisingly, has been kept out of the deliberations.
