Former President Pranab Mukherjee passed away at the Indian Army's Research & Referral Hospital, New Delhi, today. The 84-year-old's son Abhijit Mukherjee took to Twitter to make the announcement. The veteran Congress leader slipped into coma after he underwent a brain surgery on August 10 and had been on ventilator support since then. Pranab Mukherjee, who had contracted the Covid-19 virus also suffered from a severe lung infection.
