Woman cop shot dead in Delhi by batchmate

New Delhi: A woman sub-inspector of Delhi Police, posted in Patparganj Industrial Area Police Station, was found dead on February 7. The incident took place at around 9:30 pm when sub-inspector Preeti Ahlawat, 26, was walking home from the metro station. While returning home, Ahlawat's batchmate from the police academy allegedly shot at her three times. Police personnel reached the location and took her body for autopsy.

Deepanshu Rathi, who is also from the 2018 batch, allegedly committed suicide in Haryana's Sonipat after killing Ahlawat, the police said.
