Kodagu faces flash flooding threat as heavy rains continue to lash parts of Karnataka

Madikeri: Hundreds of homes in Karnataka are inundated after heavy rains. The Kodagu district that witnessed a landslide in 2018, once again is in similar fear as the Kuvempu Layout of Kushalnagar witnessed water entering homes. Due to the swelling of Kadanuru stream in Madikeri and Virajpet routes, the water entered roads and motorists faced a tough time. Due to heavy rains, the Harangi dam has reached its maximum capacity and water is being released.
