Coronavirus: People fall as cement rings placed for social distancing at Karnataka sub-registrar’s office

A sub-registrar office in Karnataka became the talk of the town after aged and physically challenged persons tripped and fell while coming out from 'social distancing cement rings'

Koppal: The social distancing concept in north Karnataka's Koppal district has attracted widespread criticism as the office of the sub-registrar placed 1.5 feet high cement rings for people to maintain physical distance.

The rings, placed on the floor, have created more inconvenience to the aged, physically challenged and women as few of them tripped and fell. As this was criticised, the authorities ordered the rings to be removed and marked boxes instead.

However, the realisation was too late as the video of this has gone viral on social media.
