Bengaluru violence caught on camera: Vehicles burnt, police station attacked

Bengaluru: A mob going on a rampage in Bengaluru east on Tuesday evening (August 11), was caught on camera. Vehicles were torched and a police station was damaged. The videos of the violence were widely shared on social media.

In the incident, three people died after police opened fire. Their bodies have been sent to Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospital and heavy police deployment is in place both at the hospital as well as DJ Halli and KJ Halli.

Following the violence, over 150 persons have been arrested and more arrests in this regard cannot be ruled out.

The mob resorted to attacks after Congress MLA Akhanda Srinivas Murthy’s nephew P Naveen allegedly put out a derogatory post on social media.
