COVID-19 rumour forces people to seal borders of their area in Bengaluru
A heart patient died and the deceased was accused of being a COVID-19 victim. This rumour spread fast forcing the entire neighbourhood in Bengaluru to seal its borders.
A coronavirus rumour in the area near HAL in Bengaluru has resulted in the neighbourhood’s borders being sealed.
The incident happened at Islampur in HAL limits. It is said that few area residents thought that home quarantines in surrounding areas could result in the deadly virus spreading into their area as well. The residents asked the youths to seal all the entry points into their neighbourhood.
The residents said that a heart patient’s family was troubled unnecessarily as the official thought it is a COVID-19 case and had referred for postmortem.
